All things urbanpagany... and them some...
It's been a busy time (as usual) here at chez urbanpagan. Eric has been flying all over so he's been gone a lot buuuuuut he has been home on weekends so it's been nice. :)
Classes are going alright. I got my first official paper back on Thursday. I got a B-. Now I know I should be happy but you know, I really thought I had a kick ass paper there. *shrug* Oh well, the nice thing is I can revise it and resubmit it. I'm going to get right on that. I had a voluntary test this past Saturday. It was the Quantitative Literacy Exam. (Big words for math test.) If you can score a 70 or better then you don't have to take a required math course. A free test? Pass it and not have to pay tuition on 4 credit hours? Hellz yes I'll take it! I should know what I got by Tuesday at the latest. I had problems with only one question. The worst part is I -knew- it! I -KNEW- it but I just couldn't seem to get the formula to work out. I showed Eric when he got home and within about 2 seconds, he showed me my mistake. :P He's always been a huge wiz at math.
On the knitting front, I've been rocking! I can knit in one of my classes so I've been working on my entrelac socks while I'm there. I'm kicking right along with them too but man, they are time consuming! But I'm going to love them when they are done. :D
Here is the first sock so far:
I think I'm going to make them only a bit taller and then bind off. The pattern calls for them to be knee length but I'm not really a knee length sock kinda gal. ;)
The Tilted Duster is coming along really well too! Here's the progress so far:
I'm at row 5 of about a zillion for the skirt. :P But it's a very easy knit and I'm sure I'll finish it up fast. The only reason I didn't do any more this week was because of homework assignments.
Through all the hub-bub and hectic life here at chez urbanpagan, the cats took it in stride, laying under the window as usual. I think I woke Fang up for this photo:
My crazy kitties.
On the "Lookie what I saw!" front, lookie!:
It's the third annual Hats with Heart contest at UNC Chapel Hill. No I was not able to put a hat in this year... (see above for reason why). :P But check it out... someone did the Sock Monkey Hat from Knitty!:
I'm now on a mission to see if I can find out who did that hat. I could have another knittyhead in my midst and not even know it!
